Rev. Roosevelt A. Baugh became the senior pastor of Joseph Campau Ave. Church of

God on January 4, 2026. He is a man of God called to minister to the people of God

through preaching, teaching, and the portrayal of a godly walk that orders his steps.

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, he was taught the love and Word of God by his

mother, the late Rose Marie Baugh who raised him in the fear and admonition of the

Lord.

He accepted the call to ministry in 1997 and was licensed in 2002, by The Church of

God in Michigan to preach, and to conduct funerals and weddings and ordained on

December 5, 2004, through the General Assembly of the Church of God in Michigan.

As a member of Metropolitan Church of God, Pastor Baugh served in various capacities for 43 years under the pastorate of the late Rev. Robert O. Dulin, Jr. and subsequently as Associate Pastor under Rev. Kevin Earley. During this time, he facilitated the Metro Marriage & Couples Fellowship, served on the Trustee Board, taught bible classes, led the Spiritual Gift Coach ministry, the usher board, the youth ministry, and the church bus ministry.

Rev. Baugh retired from the U.S. Postal Service as the Postmaster of Dearborn,

Michigan in December of 2013 after an enjoyable 38-year career. He is a member of the Board of Directors for Just Love Ministry, founded by his mother-in law, the late Gladys Rutledge Rayford. This ministry is one of his passions as he sees the evidence of the hand of God working in the lives of at-risk children, and persons struggling with homelessness and substance abuse.

The youngest of twins born to Rosemarie Baugh and Norvell Davis, Rev. Baugh married Debra (Rayford) Baugh in September of 1981. They are proud parents of two sons, Roosevelt Antonio Baugh, II and Christopher Vernon Baugh, as well as daughters-in-law, Aubry Baugh, Miranda Baugh, three granddaughters, Elliot Rose, Grace Marie, Payton Alexandra and grandson, Roosevelt Antonio Baugh, III.
